Maggie is a perfect specimen of a Braque du Bourbonnais. She is an inspired dog in the field and one of the gentlest dogs you will find once the hunt is over. At 9 months old, she finished her hunting training and did extremely well scoring a prize 1, 112 perfect score. She worked on all aspects of pointing and tracking and has had many birds shot over her. She’s a fantastic mother and is just the most deliberate dog in the field. It is almost as if she planned the hunt for two days. She knows where she is going and what she is going to get when she steps on that field. Maggie is also a super lover. If she’s in the car, She has to always be touching you. Whether she’s her paw is on my shoulder or arm or her head on my hand, she just always has to be touching us. She is a sweetheart.

“This dog makes me laugh daily. He loves to point. Usually its just random birds or grasshoppers daily but you can see him pointing all the time. He is an in your pocket type. He loves to go, but is happiest receiving love from anyone willing to pet him. He is exactly what people told me when I was considering the breed. The nose of a short-hair with the temperament of a lab. When he walks into the house he melts into his chair and is perfectly content there, especially if someone pets him while he’s there.”

Jetta has all the qualities we were looking for in our breeding program: she is a great hunter with excellent conformation, easy to train with a great retrieve, and is great at natural backing. Her easy-going temperament makes her a great household companion. She loves to cuddle and be part of the family but is a force in the field. Jetta is the first AKC Junior Hunter in the history of the breed. She has been retired from breeding and is enjoying her time in the fields.

Sabre is our Lithuanian import. He inherited his stunning conformation from his parents (Sire IT’S THE BEST Du Pech du Cayrol- Vice World Champion 2014/Dam HANA Mazas Brolis – Junior World Winner 2013, Vice World Champion 2014).

Sabre is a joyful, energetic dog with a great personality and an outstanding hunter with unlimited potential. As soon as he thinks he is going hunting, he spins around like a top! No noise just spins around and around and around~

Sabre is the first male Braque du Bourbonnais to earn an AKC Hunt Test Title and recently became the only Braque du Bourbonnais to earn an AKC Senior Hunter Title and hold 2 Hunt Test Titles.
